EGL Certified Diamonds Laboratories
Diamonds that are certified by the European Gemological Laboratory are commonly called EGL certified diamonds. Being a fully operational laboratory the EGL has a very precise diamond identification method that produces top quality evaluation reports, a leader of the industry. The reports are catered to each individual diamond. The EGL is not involved in any trade or production of diamonds and is purely an evaluative institution. Information that can be provided and certified consists of but is not limited to the workmanship quality used in the measurements and proportions.
Eight offices nearly cover the globe and those offices are located in Antwerpen, London, Paris, Telaviv, Johannesburg, Mumbai, Seoul, and Hong Kong. All of the offices are independent but part of the EGL unity which means that they provide the same services and industry standard diamond identification that allows the buyer to gain a unique certification for the particular diamond that was identified. Being one of the most trusted diamond certifiers in the world, EGL has the most widespread office locations over Europe, Asia and Africa; the use of which can be by diamond manufacturers or even independent owners that simply want a history of their diamonds.
EGL certified diamonds offer not only personal laser inscriptions on the diamond itself as an extra treat, but also as a security feature. A laser signature can be placed on the diamond that will match a photograph on the certificate of authenticity and that means that there is no doubt your diamond is your diamond.
