Breaking down after discovering that the cause is a flat tire is one of those frustrating roadside scenarios all of us would like to avoid. While not a major complication, flat tires can be avoided if you replace them when required. So, how do you know when it’s time to change them? Being aware of the signs that they are running low on tread is a good start.
You don’t need a measuring tape to test the tread – just have a look at the tread pattern. If the tread has worn down to the level of any of the bars running across the Tires they need changing. Remember to check various parts of the Tire, as they usually wear down in different areas.
